Life Long Learning
Staff at The Link Primary School are encouraged to attend courses to ensure their professional development continues, making sure they are abreast and up to date with new innovations, as well as consolidating and refreshing their skills, so that the school are at our optimum skillset to teach your child.
As part of Headteacher, Sandy Turner’s professional development, she attended a thought-provoking course last week which was led by Mike Foale, the first British born NASA astronaut. Mike has ventured into space six times and listening as he shared his experiences was amazing. Astronauts work at the cutting edge of human exploration and experience technology and science where they are tested to the limits. They have a unique perspective on the world and what it takes to lead high performing teams. To conclude, Sandy Turner, said: “I came away from the course having learnt a lot about leadership and how that can be applied to personal situations and to further harness potential within the school.”
