Fundraising Fun!

Over the last week or so, our caring ethos has come to the fore, as we have joined in fundraising campaigns for two well-known charities. Last Friday, we all wore red and had a ‘bit of a silly’ day as we supported Red Nose Day.

We chose not to sell red noses this year – primarily because many of the pupils don’t like wearing them, but secondly on an ethical front as we try and reduce our use of plastic. We raised £52.18 in total which will support charities within the UK and abroad. This week we all donned odd socks as we supported Down’s Syndrome Awareness day. It certainly caused much amusement within the school.

Maple Class attended a special tea party at “Get on Downs”, a local support group, where the pupils got to enjoy playing with some of the wonderful activities on offer. In total we managed to raise £69.43 which we will pass onto “Get on Downs”, a group we know is used by parents at The Link. Our thanks to you all for your support.

We cannot thank you enough for all the time and effort you have put into our son. You are amazing and we appreciate everything you have done for us as a family.
